team.mib T	Posted - 05/15/2006 : 16:40:23 Good day to you all. I am connecting to the internet from Adelaide, South Australia. I have a 256/64 connection with BigPond. When trying to connect to any other server than ones located in Aus(& ETG) I cant connect to. I have tryed connecting to ETG with no firewall and im using a 2nd fresh standard install of mirc to connect I have tryed connecting via a server on a hub, via direct usb connection to adsl modem and now using the modem on the hub directly. But still with no success nothing. Even did ur tutorials and still no progress. Even your online web chat wont connect for me lol. * Connecting to irc.enterthegame.com (6667) - * Unable to connect to server (Software caused connection abort) - * Connect retry #1 efnet.demon.co.uk (6668) - * Unable to connect to server (Software caused connection abort) - * Connect retry #2 irc.enterthegame.com (6667) - * Unable to connect to server (Software caused connection abort) - * Connect retry #3 144.202.248.88 (6667) - * Unable to connect to server (Software caused connection abort) - * Connect retry #4 irc.enterthegame.com (6667) - * Unable to connect to server (Software caused connection abort) - * Connect retry #5 144.202.248.88 (6667) - * Unable to connect to server (Software caused connection abort) - * Connect cancelled Your help would be greatly apreciated. PennStater	Posted - 05/21/2006 : 14:08:19 I use XChat, which is available at [url]http://xchat.org/[/url], or from [url]http://www.silverex.org/news/[/url] for a free Windows version. Even if you don't use it permanently, you can at least figure out whether it's mIRC causing your problem or if it's something else. Good luck! bctrainers	Posted - 05/18/2006 : 20:36:28 If you are behind a router/firewall open up ports 6665-6669. Now in mIRC, go to tools -> category -> local info -> "Lookup Method : Check Server". And set the "on connect, always get" to localhost. See if that helps. ---------------- Admin of #rct3 on EnterTheGame.

I don't use mIRC myself, I use a different IRC client. Therefore, I'm not really sure what might be causing this problem for you. I'll point your post out to the other admins, and maybe one of them can help you out. Ive made it clear i want your help coz i dont know fall about this and nothing. Ive read quite a few of your posts and notice in one you have stated that when starting this mirc server you wanted to run it the right way and make sure all your members get help and get sorted. Well HELLO im over here! HAHAHA nah seriously please just give me some feed back thats all i want. T.
